Shiwa Noh (Argentine Tango & Tai-Chi)

     Shiwa is Director of Noh Way School since 2013 opening. Originally from South Korea, Shiwa recieved BFA in Dance, Choreography from University of California, Irvine. She has been certified Gyrotonic Expansion System teacher since 1998 and had been a part of the forming members of owners of YogaMoves-GXS in midtown in NYC.  Since Argentine Tango came into her life in 2001, she has been to Buenos Aires, Argentina several times to be totally involve in further growth of her Tango.  She has performed Hollywood Bowl, Orange County Performing Center(CA), TownHall (NYC), even in the homeland of Argentina for Honoring Master Tango teachers.  Shiwa started her Internal martial Arts training in 2003, began Tai-Chi in 2004, since, it has reshaped her philosophy of movements, and became an enthusiastic promotor of Tai-chi.      She believes that Tai-chi, and Tango has many connections and really compliment each other, moving the body from inside to out, utilizing energy rather then outer muscular strength, grounded but soft, both are known to help better balance, coordination, more energy to practitioner.  She lives in Indian island, Old Town with her family.

Terence Lee (Swing, Lindy Hop & Cha-Cha)

Terence Lee Man-Ching found his love in dancing since 2006 and has not stopped because he enjoys it so much. As a matter of fact he brought his first date to a ballroom social, and now they are happily married. Besides his regular job at the University of Maine, he also enjoys donating his time to give back to the local communities. He was on an adult dance team for 3 years to help fundraising for non-profit organizations. He also participated for 10 “Dancing Like The Stars” fundraisers for high school project graduations, the Phillips Strickland House and the most recent one for the Maine Affiliate Susan G. Koren for the Cure.  Asides from these dances, he also loves to pass on his fun of dancing knowledge through teaching and social dancing. When Terence is not dancing, he enjoys good food, great friends, cooking, photography, and practice Shotokan Karate. He’s proficient in Jitterbug, East Coast, Savory Lindy Hop, Walts, Cha-cha and many Latin Styles.

David Lamon (West Coast Swing)

 

David LaMon has studied a wide-variety of dance and body movement techniques. His work as a dancer and choreographer has ranged from the stage to community-based projects. He was a founding member of “Motion Collective” dance ensemble, a contemporary dance company incorporating modern dance, theater and improvisation into its performance work. David was a three-time winning dance instructor with The Grand Theater’s “Dancing with Ellsworth Stars.”He currently teaches ballroom and social dance in Ellsworth and Bangor through group classes and private lessons.

Pauleena MacDougall(Irish Dance)

 

Pauleena MacDougall has been teaching Irish dancing in the Bangor area for 15 years. She has been dancing in different genres all her life—ballet, tap, ballroom, swing, contra, Cape Breton step and Irish step. Put on the music and she will start dancing. When not dancing she is directing the Maine Folklife Center at the University of Maine or playing the mandolin in the local pubs. Beginner and intermediate classes available.He organizes events and promotes social dancing in Maine via the MaineDanceCircuit.com calendar.
